DC Power Jacks for IBM T2x

There was a question about the possibility of using a T20/21/22 DC power jack inside a T23. Looking at the Hardware Maintenance Manual, it is not entirely clear that the jacks are or are not compatible. So I opened up one of my T22 and T23 systems and compared them:

As you can probably see, the T22 jack/wiring harness is much shorter than the one from the T23. In fact, it's so much shorter that it will NOT fit inside a T23 system. A jack from a T23 will fit inside a T22; you just have to stuff the excess wire alongside the CPU as shown in these two pictures:

So, bottom line... if you want to replace the DC jack inside a T23, you better be sure that the wires are at least 1 5/8" long, as measured from the very back of the yellow DC jack (black insulating part included) to the black motherboard connector. The T22 wire length is 1".

Update 4/15/07: I think I have identified the manufacturer of the power jack. The company is Hirose. They also lend their name to the tiny connector that snaps onto the MiniPCI wireless cards for the antennas. There is a very tiny logo inset on the "front" face of the jack. It looks like this:

A search through the Digikey.com site has not found anything that matches such a part. It may be that it has been discontinued or that I'm simply not looking in the right category.
